THE DISMEMBERD BODY IN ACTION

Do you remmber the first release of the Overdose Fiction Festival (OFF)? We were stating, in the digital section, that fiction is dead by now and that we can only play with possible patterns of simulation, because the distinction between an inalianable principle of reality and fiction have been completely blown.

The separation was dissolved on the base of the level of the fiction's experience, such as a videogame or a virtual world, featuring perpistation, adrenaline, epileptic attacks.

This year, faceting the problem, we consider the images of the multiplicity: multiplicity as the dismembration of the unical and inalianable subject, multiplications of the point of views, desubjectivization, the body is dismembered.

Currently some young creative newyorkers that organize net-strikes to support zapatistas, write softwares for the floodnets, occupy fat buildings in the center of manhattan, have developed a sarcastic and cinical approach to technology. Living in that city, continuosly crossed by grotesque firemen wearing a critical mission attitude, sweating for any kind of high tech advertising, those youth -- grown in the belly of science fiction visions and videophones, missions of space colonization, trips in the cyber-body -- have reworked all this imaginary and turned it into their Sci Fi movie.

In those living frames, virtual figures are moving "with poops, dicks and real desires", which pieces are sent through an optic cable (using cuseeme) to be reincorporated in any another platform somewhere in the world. They wish to realize this exchange with someone practicing in real time the same "plato cave", where there are not iperuranic ideas but real shreds of fleshes and skins... to reassemble them later in the virtual, with another perspective.

Moving from this considerations, we would like to build a situation, a labyrintine environment, to loose ourselves and meet tableaux vivant (living frames) inspired by the Eliogabalo of Antonin Artaud.

The other ipothesis is to re-build the installation of the last year, made by two beds placed in two separated rooms, where people can lie and interact through a visual circuit of video-projectors and videocameras. This interaction of flesh and ghosts would be shot on the net in a hyperloop of mediatic mirrors.
